RVM Keeps On Tick'n
The RVM is an automated vibration monitor protected by a heavy steel enclosure. The geophone, installed through an opening in the bottom of enclosure, is also protected.
This RVM sustained significant damage when struck by a vehicle. The damage is obvious, but the enclosure did its job and the RVM faithfully called in its data at 6am.
Here you can see the unscathed geophone. The enclosure will be replaced but the geophone, monitor, battery, and cell modem remained completely functional.
